About Gifted New Hampshire
Gifted New Hampshire was developed for parents and caregivers of children who are gifted, twice exceptional, and/or highly sensitive.
GiftedNH.org’s mission is to provide valuable resources and connections to parents so they can best meet the academic and social-emotional needs of their children so they can succeed and thrive in today’s world.
This site was developed as a reaction to the limited resources available to children who are gifted, 2e, and/or highly sensitive in the school systems in NH. I raised two children who were considered gifted and 2e. Both are grown and flown, successful and independent. I am a retired science teacher with a BS in Biology premed, MS in Curriculum & Instruction, MA in Gifted Education, and National Board Certified in EA Science. Part of my years of teaching include working at an independent school for gifted children. I have held teaching certificates in Maryland and Illinois. I spent my entire life growing up here in New Hampshire in the summers and officially moved and retired here in 2020. I spend my time consulting, tutoring, and volunteering.
Much of the success of families and this website is fueled by sharing resources and experiences that have been of value to you and your child.
